Our Fourth Day in Singapore Had Roller Coasters, Harry Potter Magic and One Very Emotional Last Night
Our fourth day in Singapore was everything a last full day should be: thrilling, exhausting, magical, rainy, dramatic, and full of the kind of memories that stay with you long after the trip ends.

Our fourth day in Singapore was everything a last full day should be: thrilling, exhausting, magical, rainy, dramatic, and full of the kind of memories that stay with you long after the trip ends.
By then, our trip had already given us so much, but this day still somehow managed to raise the bar. It started with the usual tasty breakfast and ended with our last dinner in Singapore, packed bags, and that quiet sadness that comes when a beautiful trip is almost over.

The Plan for the Day Was Simple: Universal Studios Singapore
The day started, as usual, with a really good breakfast. After that we got ready for the main destination of the day: Universal Studios Singapore. We waited for the bus, and once it arrived, we got in and told the driver to let us know when we reached the stop for Universal Studios.
He dropped us at Resorts World Sentosa, which is officially an integrated resort on Sentosa island. Resorts World Sentosa spans 49 hectares and is home to attractions, hotels, dining, and entertainment all in one big destination. The moment we entered, it already felt lively and beautiful. There were shops everywhere, people moving around with that holiday energy, and the whole area looked polished and exciting.
As we moved forward, we saw a big spot for Harry Potter: Visions of Magic. And because I am a big Harry Potter fan, it instantly felt impossible to ignore. Official Resorts World Sentosa information describes it as the Asia premiere of the experience, a self-guided journey through 10 immersive environments inspired by mysterious corners of the wizarding world, filled with multimedia installations, responsive content, and original soundscapes.
For one second I was fully ready to forget every previous plan and run there immediately. But then we reminded ourselves that our Universal Studios tickets were already booked, so we decided to do the sensible thing first and save Harry Potter for later. Sensible, yes. Easy, no.
The Universal Studios Globe Made It Feel Official
We kept walking and finally reached the famous Universal Studios globe at the entrance. Obviously, we clicked pictures there. It is one of those mandatory travel-photo spots that you cannot skip even if you try to act chill about it.
Universal Studios Singapore is officially Southeast Asia’s first and only Universal Studios theme park, and once we entered, it really did feel huge. There were multiple rides, themed zones, roller coasters, shows, shops, and enough excitement to keep your brain overstimulated in the best way.

Battlestar Galactica Started the Day’s Biggest Ongoing Debate
The first thing we saw, of course, was the most famous roller coaster pair in the park: Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs. CYLON. The red HUMAN track and blue CYLON track looked massive, fast, and honestly quite terrifying from below.
I was extremely scared to go on it. Siddhant, on the other hand, was absolutely sure that he wanted to. That led to our first proper discussion-cum-argument of the day about whether we should do it immediately or not. After much talking, we decided to warm up with other rides first.
We Began With Revenge of the Mummy, Which Turned Out to Be the Right Choice
So instead, we went for Revenge of the Mummy in Ancient Egypt first. Before entering, we had to keep our belongings in the locker, and then we walked in through that dark, Egyptian, mummy-themed setting that already makes the ride feel dramatic before it even begins.
We waited in the queue, got our turn, and then finally rode it. It was fast, intense, and very well designed, with fire, darkness, effects, and that indoor coaster energy that keeps you alert every second. But surprisingly, it was not too scary. We really enjoyed it, and it gave me just enough confidence to continue.

Then Came Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN, and My Heart Rate Fully Participated
But Siddhant was still very firm about Battlestar Galactica. So we had another long discussion and finally reached a middle ground: we would go on Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN, the red seated one, because it looked a little less scary to me than CYLON, the blue suspended one.
There was a long queue again, so we waited patiently and then took our seats. By the time the ride was about to start, my heart rate had already gone up. And honestly, yes, it was really, really scary. We came down and immediately decided we were definitely not doing CYLON. At least, that is what I thought at the time.
Jurassic Park, Far Far Away, Minions and Transformers Kept the Momentum Going
After that, we moved on to explore the other zones. In The Lost World, we enjoyed Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. There was a long queue for that one too, but the wait was worth it. It was a water ride on a circular raft-style platform, and along the way we saw multiple big and small dinosaurs. It had exactly the kind of thrill and splash balance that makes a ride memorable.
We also bought some keyrings and fridge magnets there, because clearly no major attraction in our life is complete without souvenir shopping. Then we moved to Far Far Away, where we enjoyed Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey, Shrek 4D Adventure, Magic Potion Spin, and the beautiful castle-like surroundings that made the whole area look charming and storybook-like.
We also went on Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase, which was a fun indoor suspended dark ride, and then to Minion Land for Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, a 3D motion simulator that we absolutely loved. It was funny, energetic, and one of those rides that just puts you in a good mood.
The Hollywood zone felt more show-based than ride-heavy, so we did not spend too much time there, though we did enjoy a dance street performance. Then we headed to the Transformers area for TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle, which genuinely felt like we ourselves had become part of the action. That one was so much fun.

And Somehow, I Ended Up Riding CYLON Too
Then came the twist. Siddhant once again wanted to go on Battlestar Galactica: CYLON. It still looked extremely scary to me, and I was very sure I did not want to do it. He, however, was equally sure that he did.
At first I decided I would just accompany him to the ride and not board it. But then, somewhere between fear and stubbornness, I decided I should go with him. Till the very last moment I was trying to convince him not to do it, but he was completely ready.
We sat on the ride, and the second it started, my fear shot up. But then, within the next two or three seconds, I realised something unexpected: it was not as terrifying as it looked from outside. In fact, once the ride got going, I actually enjoyed it. I loved it. It was one of those very satisfying travel moments where your own fear turns out to be more dramatic than reality.

Then the Rain Arrived, and the Park Shifted Again
While we were on the ride, I felt a few drops of water falling on me. And the moment we got down, it started raining heavily. Properly, dramatically, cats-and-dogs level rain.
There was another ride nearby, the Accelerator, which is a spinning tea-cup style ride, so we decided to go on that and hope the rain would stop in the meantime. We enjoyed it, but the rain did not stop. Then we tried moving towards Canopy Flyer, but after waiting in the queue for a few minutes, we found out that the rides were being cancelled because of the heavy rain.
By then we were already completely wet. So we bought raincoats from the Jurassic Park area and waited a little longer, hoping the weather would clear. But it did not. Eventually, we decided to leave, though not before doing some more shopping, obviously.

Harry Potter: Visions of Magic Was Non-Negotiable After That
That was our last day in Singapore, and after leaving Universal Studios, I did not want to miss Harry Potter: Visions of Magic at any cost. We finally went there, and for a Harry Potter fan, it was such a satisfying stop. Between the immersive environments, the atmosphere, the magical design, and the excitement of just being surrounded by Harry Potter-themed details, it felt like a lovely bonus gift at the end of the day.
We were extremely tired by then, but still happy enough to keep going. That is the strange power of fandom, I think. Your body may be finished, but if the wizarding world is involved, suddenly you have emotional stamina again.
We Ended the Last Night in Singapore Exactly the Way We Wanted
After that, we took a bus back to the hotel, reached the room, changed our clothes, and decided to make our last dinner in Singapore memorable. So we went to the restaurant area, ordered good food, and gave ourselves one final proper meal to close the trip on a happy note.
Then we went back, took a nice hot water bath, packed our bags, and finally got some sleep. We had an early morning flight the next day and had to leave the hotel at 4 a.m., so there was that familiar end-of-trip feeling in the air: tiredness, gratitude, and a quiet sadness that the whole thing was already ending.
The trip was awesome. It gave us unforgettable moments, silly little stories, unexpected stress, beautiful surprises, and so much happiness. We loved it, and by the end of the fourth day, we knew this was one of those journeys we would keep talking about for years.
