Leaving Alleppey's peaceful backwaters behind, we set off for Thekkady through rain-soaked roads, misty hills, tea gardens and waterfalls. From an unforgettable elephant ride and jungle safari to an incredible Kalari show, this day turned into one of the highlights of our Kerala journey.

What began as a visit to Ripple Waterfalls turned into a full monsoon adventure around Munnar. From raincoats, a broken camera stand and roaring waterfalls to Ponmudi Hanging Bridge, Kundala Lake, Nadukani and our first taste of mangosteen, the jeep safari became a day full of surprises.

Our last day in Kerala began with worrying news of heavy rain and landslides but ended with one final adventure. From Munnar's wild waterfalls to Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace and Jew Street, we made the most of every remaining hour before saying goodbye and boarding our train home.

Rain followed us through another unforgettable day in Munnar—from botanical gardens and tea plantations to Mattupetty Dam. But the real adventure began at Eravikulam National Park, where misty roads, wild waterfalls, strong winds and a rainy climb finally led us to the endangered Nilgiri tahr.

After our rainy jeep safari, Munnar still had more surprises waiting. We watched a colourful Kathakali performance before finally reaching our hotel, where cold weather, a struggle for hot water, dinner and our first taste of mangosteen brought an eventful day to a memorable end.

Our journey from Thekkady to Munnar turned into a monsoon adventure through spice gardens, a giant Ganesha statue, rain-soaked hills and Ripple Waterfalls. We missed India's longest zipline because of the rain, but a spontaneous jeep safari made the journey even more memorable.
